We celebrated New Year's Eve this year in a perfectly, laid back kind of way. No big, crazy party... just us and one family of friends hanging out, eating delicious chili, watching football, playing games, and laughing. It was a great way to celebrate 2009 and bring in 2010!
I am feeling hopeful about 2010. The last few years have been pretty rough ones for our little family. I began to see the light at the end of the tunnel a little in 2009, and it seems that things just might continue on an upswing for us this year. Oh, there will be challenges and struggles - there always are, but actually I am beginning to start to see those types of things in a new light... so even in the midst of those things and because of them, I just kind of have a feeling that this is going to be a good year.
So, let's celebrate!
~ watching the ball drop in NYC ~
The kids were more excited (and louder) than ever this year! They all counted down as the ball dropped then jumped up and down and cheered. Cooper didn't even know why he was doing it, but he was thrilled to be yelling and screaming in the house. Then, they all ran outside and watched the neighbors' fireworks... and cheered some more.

~ cheers to a new year! ~
May this year be full of blessings for you and your family. I hope you make many, many happy memories and find hope and peace even in the times that are not so easy this year.
Happy New Year!
