Most people that have visited New York City and then have heard about our trip cannot believe all that we squeezed into our 2 full-days and 2 half-days there. Yes, we were well prepared to squeeze as much sight-seeing into our little time in the Big Apple as we could. Allie and I had read a book about doing New York City with kids, and she had marked the things that she really, really wanted to see and do. Then, I had researched where all of those things were located and mapped out what to do and when, knowing that every moment of indecisiveness would be a moment that we were not soaking in New York, and I wanted all of us - especially Allie since the trip was her birthday gift - to get to see everything that was important to us. So... after we finished seeing the Statue of Liberty, we got right back to the list of things we wanted to be sure to see and headed to 5th Avenue.

Allie loved this dress in the window of Saks.
Though her doll-playing days are behind us, Allie and I still love dolls! And we have great memories of American Girl Dolls, so we were excited to go into the American Girl Doll store on 5th Ave.
People who know Allie very well can appreciate this photo. The girl loves a good water bottle.
She didn't buy this hat, but she looked so cute in it, I had to take a picture.
When we left the AG Store, we headed to Rockefeller Center.
Then, we just spent time walking past places that we have always seen and heard about:
