In July, our good friends, Paul and Amber, moved from Dallas to NYC. We were excited to get to see them and their sweet kids while we were in town. We had decided to meet for dinner at a place in Times Square called Ellen's Stardust Diner where aspiring Broadway performers are also the servers. They performed the entire time that we ate which sometimes included walking on the backs of the booths and singing to the customers. Paul - who has a significant talent when it comes to sarcasm and making fun of things and also has a well-known need for personal space - was in rare form as he made fun of the atmosphere and talked about how they better not come and sing to him.
Hannah, however, LOVED the entertainment! She barely stopped looking over the balcony at the singing wait-staff.
And of course, because God wanted to give us all a little treat that day, Paul was chosen to be sung to by this waitress and waiter. I think that this waitress even touched his shoulder. We all laughed so hard!
Allie and I really enjoyed the restaurant.

I love this photo... 2 buddies from Dallas who never thought they'd find themselves in Times Square together. (The fact that Paul is pushing a stroller and Corey is wearing a pink backpack even makes it more priceless.)

That's so great you got to see them while you were there. That restaurant looks so fun. And I love the photo of Corey with the pink backpack ... I think that should become his profile pic on facebook.
