An Introduction

Corey has 4 siblings, and they had not all been together at the same time for many years (around 12, I think).  We were very excited when we found out that all the siblings and Corey's mom would all be able to be together at the same time in December.

Before I continue posting about our time in Colorado, I thought that I better introduce our family (to those that don't know them or to those that have not seen them in many years).  This was the one and only time that all 5 kids and their mom were in one spot at the same time and sat still long enough to take a picture.  (They are not as accustomed to gazillions of photos being taken of them as my family might be, and I think that it was a painful (but necessary) process for some.)

Corey's mom, Joann, is the amazingly youthful almost 72-year-old lady in the green & blue.  She and her husband Al (who passed away 27 years ago) had John (upper left in lt. blue) then Roxann (upper right in black) then Mack (on left in orange) fairly close together.  Eight years later, they had Corey (yall know him, right?) then Windell (on right next to his mom).

When I met Corey 22+ years ago, all of us except John lived in central Texas and soon after that we all actually lived in the same small town.  Now, Corey's family is spread out between Tennessee, Colorado, Oklahoma, Mexico, and we are the lone Texans.  We do not get together regularly or often, so the days that we spent in Colorado were a treat.

I always thought Corey was the youngest. Glad for the family update!

Neat picture. It's crazy how much they all favor each other! You don't think about it as much when you don't see them all together like that.

How neat! They do all favor one another so much, don't they? That is wonderful that everyone could be together for a few days. I'm sure Joann was blessed to have all her children together at the same time. what a memory!
