A girl cannot go to New York City without doing some shopping, right? While we browsed a bit on 5th Avenue, we found that the part of town that had Macy's and H&M was more our style. We were very excited about seeing the 11 story Macy's store... well, 2/3 of us were, anyway. The other 1/3 found a nice spot in a pub at the bottom of the store to sit and work and wait for us other 2/3 to shop. (I'll let you guess who that 1/3 was.)

The escalators in the store were so cool. I'm not sure how old they were or if they were original, but they are wooden. I've never seen anything like that!
This Macy's was unique - it had a whole NYC section.
They were just beginning to decorate for Christmas. Someday, I want to go back when the city is all decked out for Christmas, but it was fun to get a taste of it!
It was nice to say, "We did it!" about shopping at the 11 story Macy's, but the fact that we made it through that store without getting lost or losing our minds was a miracle... on 34th Street. (Yeah, I'm clever like that.)
