Allie's iBirthday

Allie's birthday has been quite untraditional this year with all of the unexpected things that have come into our family's life in the past 2 weeks, but she has been such a trooper!  Last week, we had spent a few days away from home with our  extended family, but we took a break from extended family time and came home for about 24 hours to celebrate our girlie's birthday.

We took Allie to eat at one of her favorite restaurants, and Emmie stopped by to give her a birthday gift.  Allie was so excited to get a shirt that she had had her eye on at Old Navy for a while.

~ birthday morning ~

Allie basically had one thing that she really, really, REALLY wanted on her birthday wish list... an iPod Nano.  She was sure that she was not going to get one, and I think that she was pretty disappointed about it.  With quite a bit of team work a few days before, we were able to do some birthday shopping on one of the days that we were home during the last 2 weeks.  When I wrapped her birthday gifts, I wrapped one little package and put it at the bottom of a box full of goodies.  She was so surprised to discover that she did, in fact, get her purple Nano!

For her Birthday Breakfast, Allie wanted hashbrowns from IHOP.  

Allie's Bible study leader and friend, Mrs. Lori, hunted us down and brought Allie a birthday card and a gift card.  She makes Allie feel so special, and we love her!

We still have  a few birthday festivities to squeeze in, but for now... this the birthday update.  

I love you, Allie!  Thank you for being so flexible and understanding as we did things a little differently this year.
