Yesterday we got the news that Jack's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Thiede, had passed away. She had been fighting cancer. Jack loved Mrs. Thiede, and she loved him too. She was a pretty stern teacher and was a stickler for good hand writing, but she loved her school kids and taught them to do well in school and to love God. When Jack was in her class our nephew, Brooks, passed away, and she was so compassionate to Jack during that time. She had the kids in her class make a card for Jack, and she called me at home and asked if she could get him a plant or a stuffed animal or something to help him remember his cousin. She chose to give him a Beanie Baby dog, and yesterday upon receiving the news, Jack ran and found it. We will always have a special place in our hearts for Mrs. Thiede and cannot wait to see her - among so many others - in heaven one day.

that is so sad
So sorry for you guys' loss.
Oh friend -- I'm so sorry for your loss, and for Jack's. After everything, how is he processing this?
Oh Amy, I'm so very sorry! My heart and prayers go out to you, Jack, and the other children who must have loved Mrs. Thiede too. Praise God that heaven is a real and wonderful place.
That's so sad. I'm sure that's a huge life event for Jack, having spent a whole year with her. I'm so sorry.
