Visiting Aunt Roxann's House

The first half of our vacation we stayed at Corey's sister's house.  Several years ago Roxann and her family was brave enough to pack it all up and move to the mountains.  We were sad to see them leave Texas, but were so glad that they were doing the thing that we have always hoped to do someday.  Since they have been there, her husband David (along with the whole family) built this house by themselves.  (He is a great carpenter!)  It is beautiful, and we are very proud of it for them.  There are mountains on the horizon on every side of the house, so the view is amazing.
Miss Kitty (and her brother, Mr. Kitty) watch the deer out the windows and hiss at them.  It is so hilarious!
One evening while we were there, Corey & I took our kids and our nephew Christian to a nearby lake to crawdad fish.  The kids loved it!  (I thought that it was pretty gross!)
This mountain was on our way to the lake...

Our big kids have never had much time with cousins that are close to their age, so we were very happy that they got to spend time with Christian.  He is such a sweet kid!

Jack, Corey, & Christian did a little "real fishing" while we were there too.

On the way back to town I saw that the sun was just about to set behind the mountain.  By the time I grabbed my camera to take a picture, it was gone... but this is the way that the sky looked.
AMAZING!!!
