Baseball Brothers

Today we started a new chapter in our family's story.  The one where the little brother finally gets to play ball like the big brother that he loves and wants to be just like.  Cooper has been a spectator at 6 of  Jack's baseball seasons in his little life, and he has been chomping at the bit to get out on the field and play for a long, long time.  Today was the day that he has been waiting for.  He is playing "blast ball" this year... kind of a pre t-ball league for 3-year-olds.  I took a gazillion pictures of him during his game that I will post later, but for now I just wanted to document the (mostly) patient journey that Cooper has made to his turn at bat like his best buddy and brother, Jack.  We are officially a family with boys that play on two different baseball teams (both of which their amazing daddy coaches, I might add), and we love it! (Coincidentally, this year the boys both have numbers on their jerseys that correspond to their ages.)

In August of 2005, we dressed Cooper & Jack in matching Texas Rangers baseball clothes for the first time.  Coop was 2 months old, Jack was 5.

Amy, that's so sweet. I love that first photo of the two boys together ... and I think it's so neat that their numbers are their ages this year.

Precious journey our little Cooper Aubrey is on. I bet he feels so big getting his first taste of his very own baseball team experience. Can hardly wait to see him play Blast Ball Baseball. All the pics of Cooper shadowing Jack through the years thus far were wonderful and so fun.
