Last night there was a need for a substantial punishment for an 8-year-old boy that lives in our home. The first several attempts at disciplining him did not have the effect that we had hoped for, so he was grounded to his room for an hour. Thinking of all of the moral lessons that were possibly learned in that hour, I asked, "Did you learn anything while you were in your room?" He promptly answered, "Yep... An hour is a LONG time."

That is hilarious and true...you can't say he isn't honest.
That's so funny! Probably not quite the lesson you were looking for, huh? :)
Did you laugh? I hate it when I'm trying to be serious and they bust out with something like that... I can't help but laugh!
That is too funny!!! But honest, I guess. HA.
He's a funny boy!
Oh MY! What a little turkey! =) A sweet turkey, but a turkey nonethless. Aren't they all, though? One or eight...it doesn't matter. =)
Yes, I laughed. A lot!
I think he already knows that laughter is some good-ol' medicine. It cures most everything. Even a stressful situation.
That's hilarious -- and SO FRUSTRATING! I hate it when that's all my kids learn.
